Sabrina is disgraced that she must attend a family affair instead of Harvey’s Halloween party, especially since Libby will be going. Also, while in the line, Hillary has a run with the security guard and Sabrina has to rescue her, taking on the role as guardian. Next, another guard announces that no more groups are allowed to see the band (Sabrina’s group was next) but Harvey takes the guard aside and reasons with him mentioning he would be driving back to Westbridge with “4 violent femmes and a lovesick dude.” It works and the gang meets them. Libby has an especially good time, as Hillary and Zellery cast a brief infatuation spell on the lead singer of the group, so Libby’s wish of summoning her inner, feminine powers can come true. When they simultaneously answer “Yes” (Gail) and “No” (Edward), Gail furiously dives into Sabrina’s magic book. Attempting to follow, Sabrina must appeal to the magical Index Man to help her locate Gail’s page (presumably the equivalent) of using a search tool to find a web page) and tries to persuade Gail that Edward is still traumatized by his divorce and needs more time to consider commitment. Instead, Sabrina tries to sneak out of the house aboard her trusty vacuum cleaner and attend a “Smashing Pumpkins” concert, but gets pulled over by a flying motorcycle cop and cited for flying over the town “with a full bag and bad dust emissions.” An abashed Sabrina shrinks to miniature size as a result of guilt; to cheer her up, her aunts share stories of how they have “messed up” over the centuries – including the hitherto unheard story of Zelda’s literally middle-aged marriage to one Benvolio. In a related subplot, Salem visits his witchly parole officer and pleads that his rehabilitation is going well, but lets slip that he still dreams of world conquest.
