When Elizabeth doesn’t show up to Nicholas’ party, Todd gets concerned. Jessica is far too caught up in Nicholas to worry about Elizabeth. Todd convinces Jess that they should call the police who find a suspect in Winston Egbert. Meanwhile, Peter Carpenter (the orderly Liz befriended at the hospital) has taken Elizabeth to an old cabin where he professes his love to her. Back at the Wakefields, the gang decides to cover Sweet Valley with “missing” fliers. The next day at the hospital Peter sees Jessica and thinks it’s Liz. The police apprehend him and find that Liz has managed to escape on her own.
When Elizabeth never shows up for the Morrow’s party, Todd and Jessica realize something is amiss. They look for her everywhere, only to discover that she has been kidnapped. When Winston is found looking for clues at the scene of the crime, the police immediately arrest him. But they have the wrong man. Meanwhile, Elizabeth is facing real danger. Elizabeth is walking out of the Oracle office and is stopped by Winston who then checks with her to make sure that she’s still coming with him to the movies tomorrow. After hearing this, Todd is a little upset by that. But Elizabeth calmly explains to him that she’s simply hosting Winston’s video essay. Still, Todd believes that there is something going on between Elizabeth and Winston. Elizabeth says that they’re just friends but Todd is suspicious by all that he’s doing for Elizabeth. Elizabeth defends him by saying that he didn’t send the flower or candy and the bracelet he gave her was a friendship bracelet and nothing more.  Later, Jessica asks her twin to help with making some fudge. But Elizabeth is already on her way for her shift at the hospital. Jessica becomes upset, because she needs the Jeep for Nicholas Morrow’s party. On her way out, Elizabeth promises her sister that she will be home in time. Jessica is still mad because Elizabeth can’t help her make the fudge, so Elizabeth hands her twin the cooking book. With that, she leaves. During Elizabeth’s shift, someone unknown walks into a dark closet. He grabs a gauze and then dabs a bit of chloroform on the gauze. Meanwhile, it’s almost time for Elizabeth to go home, but she hears a noise and stops. When she turns around, one one’s there, so she leaves. Still, she feels a little nervous and walks faster than she normally does. When she gets to the Jeep, she is thankful that she’s still alive. As she’s about to turn on the car, a hand places the gauze around her mouth. At first, she screams, but then she falls unconscious. Cheryl comes to pick up an angry Jessica, who is made that Elizabeth broke her promise. Jessica leaves a note for sister and then heads out for the party. Directly after she leaves, Winston leaves a message for Elizabeth that he’s ticked off with her for not coming to his video essay. He says that if she’s not coming, he’s going to get her at the hospital. Elizabeth wakes up in a strange place, gagged and tied. She tries to break free, but the ropes tied around her hands and feet are too strong. The front door opens and Peter walks in, saying that he’s got dinner for them. Elizabeth is shocked and appalled when she sees him. Before she can say anything else, she blacks out once again. At Nicholas’s party, everyone is having a fun time, except for Todd, who has just been told that his girlfriend hasn’t shown up yet. Todd asks Jessica, but she just gets mad and insists that nothing is wrong with Elizabeth. Todd says that he’ll call Winston while Jessica calls the hospital. As soon as Jessica sees Nicholas, she lies to Todd and says that her twin is babysitting for Roger Collins. Back in Peter’s home, Peter removes the tape around Elizabeth’s mouth. Immediately, Elizabeth screams, but Peter covers her mouth again. When he takes his hand off again, Elizabeth screams, but he says it’s no use. Then he laughs, which makes Elizabeth even more worried than she is.
Meanwhile, Jessica is trying to impress Nicholas but is having no luck with him. Elizabeth is asking Peter several questions, such as where she is and why he’s done this to her. Peter tells her it’s a place where they can be happy and tells her that he’s doing this only because he loves her. Elizabeth says she wants to go home, but Peter insists that she will be happy here with him. Many times, Elizabeth begs Peter to let her go, but he refuses. So, Elizabeth tells him that the ropes are hurting her and Peter unties them for her. Taking advantage of the situation, Elizabeth hits him with a lamp and tries to make a run for the door. Peter grabs his shot gun and shoots her in the shoulder, knocking her to the ground. At the party, Todd is furious with Jessica for the lie she told him and Jessica is upset because Todd interrupted her dance. Todd explains that no one has seen or heard from Elizabeth all night, but Jessica still insists that she’s fine. Sill, Todd is worried and Jessica, annoyed, takes him back to her home. When they get home, they call for Elizabeth, but not once does she answer. They listen to the message that Winston left and grow even more scared, mostly when they see that Elizabeth hasn’t touched the note Jessica left her. Then, Todd decides it’s time to call the police. Peter knocks at Elizabeth’s door, while Elizabeth is trying to clean her bloody shoulder. Peter tells her that he didn’t want to hurt her, but he didn’t have any other choice. Elizabeth breaks part of the mirror and sticks a piece of the glass in her pocket. Then she leaves the bathroom. At the hospital, Winston is frantically looking for Elizabeth, but she’s nowhere to be seen. He arrives at her car, only to find that the door is open and someone left a wallet there. Suddenly, the police show up. They ask him to come out of the car and they place him under arrest. They return to the home of the Wakefields and explains to Jessica that there are signs her sister has been kidnapped. Jessica starts to cry, while Todd asks them some questions. They tell him that they have Winston in custody. The next day, Peter is getting ready for work, so Elizabeth gives him her friendship bracelet, hoping someone will see it and come find her. At the Wakefield home, everyone of Elizabeth’s friends are gathered in the living room, concerned that Winston has been arrested. Jessica runs into the kitchen, crying, just as a fight breaks out in the living room. Jessica rushes back into the living room to see Winston and Todd fighting. Winston tells him that the police didn’t think he did anything and they let him go. Now, he is angry that Todd and now everyone else, would think that he had done something to her. Hurt, confused and disturbed, Winston leaves as everyone decides to do something about Elizabeth’s sudden kidnapping. They make fliers, which they hand out to all of Sweet Valley. At the hospital, Winston hands Peter a flyer and Peter acts like he knows nothing about Elizabeth’s disappearance. When Winston meets up with Todd, Todd still believes that he was involved with Elizabeth’s disappearance. Suddenly, Winston recalls that Peter was wearing Elizabeth’s bracelet. At the same time, Jessica is hanging a flyer and Peter thinks that Jessica is Elizabeth. He’s about to attack Jessica with a scalpel, who screams just seconds before Todd and Winston come to her rescue.
